Democratie. Unde-i?

“Democratie”, un cuvant pe care toti credem ca-l intelegem, ca-l aplicam, si mai ales ca-l traim. Bazat pe definitia din DEX a cuvantului: Formă de organizare și de conducere a unei societăți, în care poporul își exercită (direct sau indirect) puterea, nu numai ca Romania nu este o democratie, dar cea mai mare parte a democratiilor din lume sunt departe de a fi democratii.

Va recomand cu cea mai mare caldura o ilustrare geniala, amuzanta si pe intelesul tuturor a modului in care guvernele au ajuns sa functioneze sub aceasta iluzie a “democratiei”. Cum ii explici unui extraterestru ce e guvernul?:)

“I’ll take you to our leader. The guy in charge of everything”. “You have ONE guy in charge of everything?” “Government tells YOU what to do, and IT punishes YOU with violence if YOU disobey IT, and yet… (you tell me) YOU’re ITS boss?”

“So just to make sure I’ve got this straight: Government makes the rules and you feel obligated to follow the rules… even the ones you don’t like… and IT tells YOU what to do… and threatens to punish YOU if you don’t do what IT says… and it uses some of the money it takes from you using threats of violence to pay for things you don’t like and actually think are immoral, like… mass murder”.

“Yeah… but we can ask it to… please tell us to do… smart things … and please don’t take our money and… use it to kill people. We’re allowed to ask it … to tell us to do… what we want them… to tell us to do”.

“Are you guys just scared of thins thing?”

Cuplat cu “The story of stuff”, parca incepem sa vedem cu ochi mai limpezi ce se intampla cu adevarat in jurul nostru, si ca ne-am transformat intr-o suma de papusi trase cu sfoara invizibila de cateva maini mai puternice (aka. informate).

Vestea buna e ca putem oricand sa ne trezim si sa ne indepartam valul de pe ochi. Sa facem fiecare mica noastra bucatica. Consumerismul exista datorita NOUA, a consumatorilor, nu datorita producatorilor. Noi decidem in fiecare moment ce fel de consumatori dorim sa fim.
